Smile Jamaica Ark-Ives: Jah-nuary 16, 2016 (Stream + Tracklist): Green Bay Bowl Packers!

My dilemma: Spin Reggae on Smile Jamaica or watch my beloved Green Bay Packers

Greetings,

Smile Jamaica has three obsessions, in no particular order:

  1. Reggae and dubwize
  2. San Francisco Giants baseball – even year so book a World Series victory
  3. Green Bay Packers NFL

I ‘n’ I suffered through decades of mediocrity until they got good in the 90’s with Brett Favre and now Aaron Rodgers.

So I had a dilemma: Green Bay vs. Arizona right during Smile Jamaica.

Praise Jah for DVR. Gah, what a gut shot ending to yet another amazing Hail Mary.

When do pitchers and catchers report?

<Green Bay Packers or Smile Jamaica; 25 sec.>

bless, robt

Baltimore by Randy Newman

  •  Beat-up little seagull
  • On a marble stair
  • Tryin’ to find the ocean
    Lookin’ everywhere

Hard times in the city
In a hard town by the sea
Ain’t nowhere to run to
There ain’t nothin’ here for free

Hooker on the corner
Waitin’ for a train
Drunk lyin’ on the sidewalk
Sleepin’ in the rain

And they hide their faces
And they hide their eyes
’cause the city’s dyin’
And they don’t know why

Oh, baltimore
Man, it’s hard just to live
Oh, baltimore
Man, it’s hard just to live, just to live

Get my sister sandy
And my little brother ray
Buy a big old wagon
Gonna haul us all away

Livin’ in the country
Where the mountain’s high
Never comin’ back here
’til the day I die

Oh, baltimore
Man, it’s hard just to live
Oh, baltimore
Man, it’s hard just to live, just to live

The Mutants have taken over on Smile Jamaica: New Year’s Bass-gasm of Modern Dub: A-Zed

Greetings,

 <10th Annual: Mutant Dub New Year: 3 hours of A-Zed; 30 sec.>

Happy New Year! Let’s start it off with all dub and bass. Neo-Dub, Modern Dub, Mutant Dub.

Gonna give the Orthodox Roots stalwarts the week off to explore my fascination with the crossover dub sound: drum & bass, electronica, downtro, lounge, dubstep, militant steppers, techno, ambient, etc. etc.

I listen to Roots Reggae at home and Mutant Dub in my car. Knives to the treble!
